PYRAN® Platinum L fire-protective glazing is a laminated glass ceramic material consisting of two layers of glass ceramic with an interlayer designed to improve durability and impact resistance. This fire-protective glass is designed to resist the passage of flames, smoke, and toxic gases but does not provide a barrier to radiant heat transfer. Suitable for commercial hollow metal doors and commercial wood doors, this glazing is commonly specified for vision lites, borrowed lites, sidelites, and transoms in commercial, institutional, healthcare, and industrial buildings requiring code-compliant fire door glazing.
